Bates January 18, 195** 80-11 Mr. Franklin f , Hamilton Suite 900 433 South Spring Street Los Angeles, California Dear Mr. Hamilton} In the hope, vain as It may be, that some time before the turn of the century the Las Vegas Water Company will be able to turn over Its facilities to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, X have been attempting to line up certain steps which have to be taken subsequent to the so-called "sale date". Exhibit G of the Contract between the Railroad and the Water Company, on the one hand, and the Water District, on the other, provides that the Railroad would deliver to the Water District the original documents shown In numbered Para­graph 1, subdivisions (a), (b), and (c) of Exhibit a . Cur Accounting Department desires to make photostatic copies of such original documents as are to be turned over, prior to their delivery to the Water District, and I have been trying to figure out Just what documents should be so photostated in order that it will not be necessary to do a lot of extra work. Subdivision 1(a) of Exhibit Q provides that the Water Company should turn over to the District the executed originals of "all easements, licenses, leases, contracts and permits owned by the first parties for the construction, maintenance, operation and renewal over, along, upon, or across the lands of others for the water distribution facilities referred to in subparagraphs (f) and (g) of Section 1 of the attached agreement.” Subparagraph (f) of Section 1 refers to water distri­bution mains and appurtenances, completed on or before Septem­ber 1, 1952, and used or useful in the rendition of water
