I agree.January 10, 1956 City of Las Vegas, F12e i 733^ City Hall, Las Vegas, Nevada* M&8BMSB* Finance. Department Gentlemens Referring to your Invoice No. 3779# dated February 19# 1953# which you rendered against las Vegas Land and Water Company, *K)1 So. Second Street, Las Vegas, copy attached* My investigation develops through Hr. L. E. Haag, Acting General Manager of the Las Vegas Land and Water Com* pany at Las Vegas, on February 19, 1955* that the Las Vegas Land and Water Company did not have any water mains In Stewart or 23rd Streets on the date Indicated on your invoice, and It would appear that if the City had to lower any water lines at this location In February, 1955# they were apparently privately owned water lines. Therefore, the Las Vegas Land and Water Company Is not obligated to bear any portion of the expense incurred by the City covering this work. Very truly yours, 9 ORIGINAL SIGNED V/. H.
