    November 27, 1951 Mr. Lee S. Scott, Secretary Public Service Commission of Nevada Carson City, Nevada Dear Mr. Scott: I have your letter of November 23, 1951, to which you have attaohed a first revised sheet PSCN No. 2 can­celling original sheet PSCN No. 2 of the Schedule of Water Rates of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company at Las Vegas, Nevada. Your letter does not enclose a copy of any order of the Commission prescribing the rates shown on the revised sheet, and it is my understanding that you desire the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to voluntarily file with the Commission and place in effect, effective December 1, 1951, the revised sheet enclosed with your letter. The Company will not voluntarily place the rates shown on that sheet in effect for the following reasons: At the time of the hearing in X&8 Docket 127 the Las Vegas Land and Water Company entered into no stipulation with the Las Vegas motel operators that any rate prescribed by the Commission for motels for the first unit would not be in excess of that prescribed by the Commission for a private residence or that the rates for additional units with or without kitchen would be related percentagewise to the rates for the first unit. Prior to the June hear­ing in the above mentioned case the Las Vegas Land and Wa­ter Company did agree with the Motel Association to pro­pose the rates shown in Exhibit "W" in lieu of the rates for motels which were filed to become effective February 26, 1951* The rates proposed for motels in Exhibit "W" were related to the other proposals made by the Las Vegas Land and water Company shown in Exhibit "V".
