Commissioner Whipple moved the following new applications for liquor licenses for the second quarter of 1950 be denied. FLOYD J. COPE 610 South 5th Sealed Package Mina. ROBERT & ABE KROLOFF 117 North 1st Retail Tavern WESTSIDE SHOPPING CENTER Harvey Jones 1315 Jackson Sealed Package Mina. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Whipple moved the Police Department be instructed to investigate George A. Jones, Change of Operator one of the applicants for liquor license at the Rex Bar, 124. South 1st Street. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. Commissioner Peccole moved the application of Sam Stearns and Katherine Russe, The Katydid, 113 North 1st, formerly Sam’s Saloon, for a Retail Tavern liquor license for the second quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Edward Crowder, Coney Island Cafe, 412 South 2nd for a Retail Restaurant Beverage license for the second quarter of 1950 be granted subject to the report of the Police Department after investigation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. BID NO. 50.11 Commissioner Peccole moved that Bid No. 50.11, Oxygen and Acetylene be awarded to the low bidder, General Auto Parts. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. BID NO. 50.14 Commissioner Whipple moved that Bid No. 50.14, Batteries, be awarded to the low unit price bidder, Clark County Wholesale Mercantile Co. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. BID NO. 50.10 Commissioner Whipple moved that Item #1 of Bid No. 50.10, Kerosene, be awarded to Signal Oil Company, the low bidder. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. Commissioner Peccole moved that Item #2 of Bid No. 50.10, Cleaning Solvent, be awarded to the low bidder, Union Oil Company. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. DESERT PARK - Commissioner Peccole moved the final map of Desert Park be accepted with the understanding Final Map that all requirements of the Land Use Ordinance will be complied with. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. PARADISE VILLAGE Commissioner Peccole moved the final map of Paradise Village Tract No. 1 be accepted and TRACT NO. 1 approved. Final Map Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. HERTZ DRIV-UR-SELF Commissioner Whipple moved the application of W. Gwilliam, Hertz Driv-ur-self for a busi- ness license to operate three U-drives be granted, and licenses issued when requirements of the ordinance have been complied with. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioners Bunker and Moore. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Whipple moved this meeting adjourn until April 7, 1950 at 3:00 P.M.
