I agree.UNITED STATES RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION Director General of Railroads. Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Los Angeles, Feb. 18, 1920 B-12-443 Mr. J. Rose Clark; Your file 1899, Feb.17th, relative to expense of some $433.00 account machinery and repairs for the packing house occupied by the California Mutual Packing Co. at Riverside; I have returned to Mr. Woodill the two recent bills for repairs, amounts $5.28 and $9.25 respectively, and told him we would expect him to take care of these as well as all other installations and repairs which might be necessary to the equipment of the packing house hereafter; and that our policy would be to absorb no more expense whatever in the way of machinery and repairs for packing houses. With this understanding and the clearing up of the old expense of some $433.00 by deducting it from the rent item, I believe we will be able to start on an even keel with Mr. Woodill and that the understanding will promote harmony between us. With my letter of Feb.11th I sent you papers in regard to the matter, and I assume you will issue the necessary authority to Mr. Evans. I would also suggest that you have Mr. Cullen advise all of our tenants in packing houses, the machinery of which is owned by the company, that all renewals, installations or repairs will have to be taken care of at the expense of the tenant. Yours very truly, EAK
