PROGRESS REPORT Assessment District #100-27 Down Town Street Lighting PROGRESS REPORT Assessment District #100-24 Charleston Area PROGRESS REPORT Assessment District #100-23 9th St. Improv. PROGRESS REPORT Assessment District #100-26 Bridger - Stewart 7th - Main WHEREAS, that portion of Fifth Street hereinafter described, has been and still is without adequate street lighting; and WHEREAS, numerous requests have been made that this street be improved with street lighting; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of March, 1954, that the City Engineer be and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City Clerk, plats, diagrams, plans of the work and the locality to be improved, together with the estimates of cost for the installation of complete street lighting facilities with aluminum standards and underground and single overhead wire on series lighting system in, over, and along Fifth Street from a point approximately 730 feet North of the intersection of South Fifth and South Main, to the North City Limits. ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of March, 1954 Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time a progress report was given by the Tyson Engineering Company on the Down Town Street Lighting, Assessment District #100-27. At this time a progress report was given by the engineer, Karsten Bronken on the Charleston Area, Assessment District #100-24. At this time the progress report on the 9th St. Improvements, Assessment District #100-23, was given by the Engineer, Karsten Bronken. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the following resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, certain streets and portion of streets in the City of Las Vegas are without adequate curbs, gutters and paving; and WHEREAS, numerous oral requests have been made that these streets and protions of streets hereinafter described be improved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of March, 1954, that the City Engineer be and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City Clerk, plats, diagrams, plans of the work and the locality to be improved, together with the estimates of cost for constructing curbs, gutters and paving where none exists and the reconstructing of curbs, gutters and paving wherever needed on the following described streets and portions of streets, to-wit: HOOVER AVENUE from 5th Street to Charleston Boulevard; GASS AVENUE from 5th Street to Charleston Boulevard; GARCES AVENUE from 7th Street to 9th Street; BONNEVILLE AVENUE from 7th Street to the alley between 9th Street and 10th Street; CLARK AVENUE from 8th Street to the alley between 9th Street and 10th Street; LEWIS AVENUE from 9th Street to the alley between 9th Street and 10th Street; BRIDGER AVENUE from 8th Street to 9th Street; CARSON AVENUE from 8th Street to the alley between 9th Street and 10th Street; OGDEN AVENUE from 9th Street to the alley between 9th Street and 10th Street; MESQUITE AVENUE from 8th Street to 10th Street and 12th Street to 13th Street; LINDEN AVENUE from 5th Street to 6th Street and 7th Street to 10th Street; ENCANTO DRIVE from McWilliams Avenue to 9th Street; WALNUT AVENUE from 23rd Street to 25th Street; WENGERT AVENUE from 17th Street to the Crestwood School; OAKEY BOULEVARD and 15TH STREET to the center of Section 2, Township 21 South, Range 61 East; CHARLESTON BOULEVARD from 2nd Street to 10th Street; SEVENTH STREET from Charleston Boulevard to Garces Avenue; EIGHTH STREET from Charleston Boulevard to Clark Avenue, and from Mesquite Avenue to 9th Street; NINTH STREET from Bonneville Avenue to Fremont Street and from Ogden Avenue to Cashman Field; TENTH STREET from Stewart Avenue to Mesquite Avenue and from Linden Avenue to Cashman Field; ELEVENTH STREET from Stewart Avenue to TWELFTH STREET from Stewart Avenue to Marlin Avenue; FIFTEENTH STREET from Fremont Street to Stewart Avenue; SEVENTEENTH STREET from Wengert Avenue to Franklin Avenue; MARYLAND PARKWAY from San Francisco Avenue to Oakey Boulevard. Notion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the progress report was given by the engineer, Karsten Bronken on the construction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters on Bridger and Stewart from 7th Street to Main Street, Assessment District #100-26.
