It has been our practice for some time to insert the service number in pencil so that when consumers telephone inquiring how much they owe or wh&t their rate lst we ask them to kindly read us the service number in lower left hand comer and it facilitates reference to account* It also makes the notice easier to compile as it avoids necessity for searching for proper line to insert service number* It will assist as considerably in preparing monthly delinquent notices if form recommended in my letter March 25 can be adopted.
