    Monies received for the'month of January as follows: $2,250.00 Municipal Court Fines 5,418.43 City Licenses and Fees 550.00 Sale of Cemetery Lots 115.00 Plumbing Fees ____20.00 Inst. on Library saving's Account 8,155. 45 Total Monies proportioned as follows: $4,500.00 P and F Fund 5,168.45 General " 550.00 Cemetery " 20.00 Library Support Fund 115.00 W.S.& L. Fund Commissioner 8,155. 45 Total Thomas arrived late Clerk at this time reported to the Board that the Power of Attorney of Paul Dor- ing for the Union Indemnity Company and the certificate from the Secretary of the State of Nevada authorizing the Union Indemnity Co. to do business in the State of Nevada for the year 1932 had been received, and that the contract between the City of Las Vegas and the Fuller Construction Company had been signed and set to the construction company and a copy had also been sent to the office of Paul Doring in Los Angeles, California on the 30th day of January 1932. The matter of the releasing of the certified check for the amount of $7,000.00 de­posited by the Fuller Construction Company at the time of the acceptance of that company's bid for the sewer work was next brought before the Board for consideration. On motion of Commissioners Thomas seconded by Commissioner German it was RESOLVED, That the City Clerk on behalf of the City of Las Vegas endorse said certi­fied check in the amount of $7,000.00 and forward same to the Fuller Construction Company. Vote on said motion was as follows: Commissioners Mundy, German, Hansell and Thomas and His Honor the Mayor voting Aye, Noes none. The claim of J.E. Leaman for the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars for the audit of the City books for the, third and fourth quarters of the 1931 was laid over until the further order of the Board. On motion of Commissioner Thomas seconded by Commissioner German it was moved that the amount alotted to the support of the Las Vegas Library be raised from the sum of Ninety Dollars to the sum of One Hundred Dollars per month. The same to be in effect for the month ending February, 1932. At this time a number of citizens of North LAs Vegas appeared before the Board of Commissioners asking that Ordinance No. 179 of the City of Las Vegas be repealed. After due consideration of the matter and ordinance entitled ,"An Ordinance to amend, revise and re-enact Sections Nos. 2 and 10 of Ordinance No. 111 of the City of Las Vegas, entitled, "An Ordinance prohibiting the manufacture, storage, or keeping, sale, offering or exposing for sale or barter, or other disposal of intoxicating liquors in the City of Las Vegas, re­gulating other matters pertaining thereto; providing a penalty for the violation of this Ordinance, and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith," approved May 5, 1925, as amended by Ordinance No. 179; and to repeal all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith," was read for a second time. Said ordinances had been read for a first time the 4th day of December, 1931. The vote on said ordinance was as follows: Commissioners Thomas, and Hansell and His Honor the Mayor E.W.Cragin voting Aye. Commissioners Mundy and German voting no. No further business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting recessed until Friday the 12th day of February 1332 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. FEBRUARY 12th, 1932. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas held on the 12th day of February 1932 at the hour of three o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present: Mayor Cragin, Commissioners Mundy and German City Attorney Stevens and City Clerk Viola Burns. Absent Commissioners Thomas and Hansell. No business appearing before the Board at this time the meeting recessed until Tues­day the 16th day of February 1932 at the hour of three o'clock P.M.
