NOTICE OF CLAIM Commissioner Elwell moved the claim of William P. Weber for flood damage which William P. Weber occurred November 1, 1959, in the amount of $6,710, be denied as recommended by the City Attorney. Denied Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. NOTICE OF CLAIM Commissioner Elwell moved the claim of A. P. O'Bannon for flood damage which A. P. O'Bannon occurred November 2, 1959, in the amount of $500, be denied as recommended by the City Attorney. GRANT, BARGAIN & Deputy City Attorney Sidney Whitmore advised the Commission a check in the SALE DEED amount of $8,233 had been received from the Roman Catholic Church for the From Roman Catholic difference of 4.029 acres in the exchange of ten acres of City property Church adjacent to the Roy W. Martin School for 5.971 acres at the corner of Eastern and St. Louis Avenues, owned by the Catholic Church, as approved by the City Resolution of Commission on November 4, 1959. Acceptance Mr. Whitmore requested a Resolution of Acceptance be adopted for the Grant, Adopted Bargain & Sale Deed, covering the 5.971 acres at the corner of Eastern and St. Louis Avenues acquired by the City, and approval be given expenditure for $10.15 for Internal Revenue Stamps. Commissioner Whipple moved the following Resolution of Acceptance be adopted and Director of Finance and City Treasurer authorized to issue the warrant in the amount of $10.15 for Internal Revenue Stamps. RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF EASEMENT On motion of Commissioner Reed Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner E. W. Fountain, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 18th day of November, 1959, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the easement, dated the 12th day of November, 1959, executed by Roman Catholic Bishop of Reno, a Corporate Sole. to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of a street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said easement, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this Resolution be filed in the records of this Board.
