I agree.January 7, 1947 Mr. E. E, Bennett: (gc - Mr. Mr. Mr* Mr. Mr. T. W, Boekes * A. M. Folger Frank Strong W, H. Hulsizer G, R. Van Eaton) Re: Main Street widening Project The attached copy of a letter from Attorney General Alan Bible to the State Highway Engineer, Robert A. Allen, dated January 2, 1947, with reference to the above matter contains an opinion by the Attorney General that the railroad company and the Western Union Telegraph Company can not be compelled to change the location of the telegraph line in question without reimbursement and that if compelled to remove said line, we would be entitled to reimbursement for costs incurred in adjusting the line. I am of the opinion, therefore, that the Highway Department will now see fit to include this cost as an eligible item to be defrayed from federal funds and X trust the matter will now be speedily concluded. Sincerely Calvin M. Cory CMC:eh Enc.
