ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-27 Notice of Public Hearing on Assessment Roll INVESTMENT OF SEWER BOND FUND First California Co. PROPOSED ORDINANCE Electrical Code ORDINANCE NO. 607 Warm Air Heating Code WHEREAS, the time has arrived to direct the Notice of Special Assessment to be published as required by Section 67 of the harter of the City of Las Vegas, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April, 19% that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place when and where the Board and the County Assessor and Ex-Officio City Assessor will meet to con­sider objections to said special assessment roll and to review said assessment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Notice of Special Assessment shall be published once a week for two successive weeks, in the Las Vegas Sun, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Notice of Special Assessment shall be in substantially the form attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof. Motion seconded by Commissioner "harp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Jarrett moved the following resolution directing publication of the Notice of Public Hearing on Assessment Roll for Assessment District No. 100-27 be adopted: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas have taken steps to create certain public improvements all as provided for in Emergency Ordinance No. 603, passed, adopted and approved the 12th day of April, 19%. WHEREAS, Section 6 of said Emergency Ordinance No. 603 directs the County Assessor of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, the Ex-officio City Assessor of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, to make an assessment roll in accordance with the Charter of the City of Las Vegas; and WHEREAS, the said Ex-Officio City Assessor has prepared such Assessment Roll in accordance with said Ordinance and on the 21st day of April, 1954, filed said Assessment Roll with City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas, all as directed by Section 6 of said Emergency Ordinance No. 603; and WHEREAS, said roll was numbered by the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas as directed by Section 8 of said Emergency Ordinance No. 603; and WHEREAS, the time has arrived to direct the Notice of Special Assess­ment to be published as required by Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April, 1954 that the City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and she is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place when and where the Board and the County Assessor and Ex-Officio City Assessor will meet to con­sider objections to said special assessment roll and to review said assess­ments. At this time the Board considered the proposal of the First California Company for investment of $400,000.00 from the sewer bond fund, in Ninety-Day United States Treasury Bills. Commissioner Bunker moved the above proposal be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign the warrant when prepared. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. At this time Commissioners Bunker and Sharp members of the committee for re­commendation on the proposed Electrical Code ordinance requested additional time before reporting. At this time Commissioners Jarrett and Whipple members of the committee for recommendation on the proposed Warm Air Heating Code Ordinance reported favorably. Thereafter an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION, LICENSING OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF WARM AIR HEATING, OR LABORING AT THE TRADE AS A WARM AIR HEATING INSTALLER REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION OR ALTERATION OF WARM AIR HEATING APPLIANCES, AND WARM AIR HEATING SYSTEMS: CREATING AN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND A BOARD OF WARM AIR HEATING EXAMINERS, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES: DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS, ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION OR REPAIR OF WARM AIR HEATING APPLIANCES, AND WARM AIR HEATING SYSTEMS AND THE INSPECTION THEREOF: PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, was read in full to the Board. 4-21-54
