(CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING) AUG 14 A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners held this 31st day of July9 1950 was called to order at the hour of 10:00 A«M by His Honor M ayor R W3 Gragin with the following members presents Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peecole, Whipple| City Manager G* Wa Shelley and Gity Clerk Shirley Ballinger., Absents City Attorney Howard Wo Gannon® Also present were representatives of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company and the Union Pacific Railroad Company v Gos^ missioner Williams of the Public Service Commission! and Messrso Pine and Hasset and Mrs* Habbart, members of the Advisory Water Committee for the Board of Commissioners„ WATER SUPPLY Commissioner Bunker moved the Gity Attorney b© instructed or the City of Las Vegas to prepare a formal demand on the Public Service Commission requiring the Las Vegas Land and Water Company 9 who hold a franchise to furnish water to the city, ©r the Union Pacific Company p to pressed immediately to augment the present water supply to the city0 Motion seconded by Commissioner Pescole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker9 Moore, Peecole 9 Whipple and His Honor voting aye$ noes, none,. Commissioner Moors moved the Advisory Committee be brought in to investigate and to consult with the Board, on the advisability and feasability of buying the Las Vegas Land and Water Company or the water facilities of the Union Pacific Railroad Company„ Motion se©©nd©d by Commissioner Peceol© and carried by the following votes Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peecole, Whipple and His Honoc? voting ayej noes, none*, There being no further business to come before this special meeting, the meeting adjourned® ATTEST: APPROVED:
