GC E. C, Renwiek Lds Angeles, July 28, 1953 MEMORANDUM FOR FILE 1-7334 (cc -file 085-01) Railroad forces looking after water production facilities at Las Vegas are 3 Sheet Metal Workers - Water Service at rate of $2,003 per hour working 40 hours each per week and 2 men at same rate from the Water Service gang perform the relief work on Sat- urdays and Sundays. TheseHcAb-omen do not get overtime for this Saturday and Sunday work as they are assigned to work those days and have their rest days on other days in the week. The rate for similar position on LVL&WCo. pay-roll is $2.00 per hr. and carried as Repairman and if the LVL&WCo. take over these 3 positions Maag says he will pay the $2.00 rate rather than the $2,003 rate. He says the Saturday and Sunday work will be handled by the present LVL&WCo. force but he should have authority for 4 additional Repairmen, 3 to absorb the 3'R.R. employes who are regularly assigned and 1 more if he finds he will have to have additional force to keep up repairs to water production facilities which Railroad terminal water service gang has been doing along with their other railroad work. Maag expects to contract any electrical maintenance on the water production facilities# p ^ 0 ~ / 7 .
