Upon motion of Commissioner Clark seconded by Commissioned Rubidoux it was moved and carried that the following retail tavern liquor licenses be granted for the period from July 1, 1941 to September 30, 1941. All applications being in proper form and money on file with the Clerk covering cost of same: Jack H. Wagner Kiva Bar Vote: Commissioners Smith, Tinch, Clark, Rubidoux and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. Motion carried. Upon motion of Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Rubidoux it was moved and carried that the following slot machine licenses be granted for the period from July 1, 1941 to September 30, 1941. All applications being in proper form and the money on file with the Clerk covering cost of same: Boulder Club, Inc 27 Read City Drug 3 B. J. Curto 1 Apache Casino 16 C. F. Reid 1 Charles M. Upon motion of Commissioner Clark, seconded by Commissioner Rubidoux it was moved and carried that the following gaming licenses be granted for the period from July 1st, to September 30th, 1941. All applications being in proper form and the money on file with the Clerk covering cost of same. Boulder Club: 1 pan game, 1 Big Six Wheel, three twenty one games, 3 Roulette, 1 craps, 1 Faro Bank, 1 Keno - 100 chairs, 1 Race Horse Keno. Apache Casino: 1 twenty one, 2 Roulette, 1 Craps and 1 Big Six. C. F. Reid: 1 Poker table. Frontier Club: 1 Craps, 2 Roulette, 1 Big Six, 1 Race Horse Keno, 1 Hopper Keno - 102 chairs, 1 Hazard, 1 Twenty one. Joe Morgan: 1 Roulette, 1 Craps, 1 21. Harry Samet: 1 Poker, 1 Roulette, 1 Hazard. Silver Club: 1 Poker. Kiva Club: 1 Roulette, 1 Crap, 1 twenty one. Frontier Club: 1 Poker game. J. K. Upon motion of Mr. Smith seconded by Mr. Clark, it was moved and carried that the sum of $2,661.90 be transferred from the unappropriated fund and applied to the War Memorial Building Fund for the repair of said building. Vote: Commissioners, Smith, Clark, Tinch Rubidoux and his Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Motion carried. A. L. Worswick appeared before the Board at this time and presented specifications for placing the War Memorial Building back in its original condition before the fire and suggested that bids be advertised for the repair of same, further stating that specifications could be obtained from his office. Mr. Rubidoux made a motion that 90% of all labor hired on any city contracts be taken from local residents. Seconded by Mr. Smith. Vote: Commissioners, Smith, Tinch, Clark, Rubidoux and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none, motion carried. Mr. Clark moved that A. L. Worswick be instructed to draw up plans and specifications for an addition to the War Memorial Building to be used as the City Hall. Motion seconded by Mr. Tinch. Vote: Commissioners, Smith, Tinch, Clark, Rubidoux and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Motion carried. Upon motion of Mr. Clark, seconded by Mr. Tinch and carried that bids be let for the remodeling and repairing of the War Memorial Building regarding the damage done by the fire. Said bids to be called for the 16th of June, 1941. Vote: Commissioners, Smith, Clark, Tinch, Rubidoux and his Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Mr. Clark moved that bids be let for the building of the airport station. Seconded by Mr. Smith. Said bids to be asked for on the 21st of July, 1941. Vote: Commissioners, Smith, Tinch, Clark, Rubidoux and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none.
