I agree.m Carson City, Nevada August 10, 1953 Mr. E. E. Bennett, General Solicitor Union Pacific Railroad Company 422 West Sixth Street Los Angeles l4, California Dear Mr. Bennett: We acknowledge the receipt of your letter of August 3 advising us of the transfer of the water production facilities of the Union Pacific Railroad Company to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company of July 31> 1953- We take it from this that contracts which have been in force between the Union Pacific Railroad Company and various users of water in the Las Vegas area have been abrogated and that your Las Vegas Land and Water Company under its tariffs is charging much more than your Union Pacific was for the same type of service. Will you please look into this matter and for the interim period see if you can offer a new tariff to take care of those contractees with which you as a railroad company have severed connections. Will you please give this your immediate attention. Sincerely yours, PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NEVADA /s/ ROBERT A. ALLEN RRA:jm ROBERT A. ALLEN Chairman
