The meeting was called to order at ^>:10 p.m. II. Roll call was taken III. Motion by Steve Hammel to dispense with the reading of the minutes. Seconded by Rick Cuellar Motion passed unanimously. ,'V. Old Business-Amendments Motion by Dick Torres to table the amendments until the new administration can take office. Seconded by Carl Collins Rick Cuellar noted that these amendments have been waiting a long time and should be voted on now. If the new senate wishes to bring these up again before they go to the student body, they can. Call for the question by Steve Hammel. Seconded by Carl Collins Question failed- U yes, 6 no, 1 abstain Further discussion Call for the question by Rick Cuellar Seconded by Steve Hammel Question passed- 10 yes, 1 no. Point of information, You cannot table the amendments as they have never came out of the committee. Pandora Nash brought from committee the cultural arts commission, the student welfare commission and the Preamble Motion to table and second withdrawn. Motion by Carl Collins to recess for five minutes Seconded by Steve Hammel. Motion passed unanimously. Discussion on the amendments. A. Cultural Arts Commission Steve Hammel questioned if this commission would take the place of the activities board. John Tofano answered that essentially it would replace the "...activities board.
