ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY, INC.
THETA THETA OMEGA CHAPTER
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORT
SUMMER 1993
Releases on Leadership Seminar were sent directly to the various newspapers by AKA Media Corps. Releases about the Leadership Fellows were sent to the media in the home towns of the winners as well as biographical information.
Releases were sent to local media about the Peace and Justice Award, Domestic Travel Tour and. Black Women in America: An Historical Encyclopedia.
The Tip of the Month is to purchase AKA postcards that feature the Ivy Center to send out correspondence to promote AKA as a corporate entity. If the sorority is interested in purchasing these postcards, they can be ordered from Headquarters.
The Ivy Edition resumes again in August. As of today, I have not received the latest edition. It will include a release on Senior Citizen's Day for September.
I will be meeting with the Chairperson of the AKATEEN program to write a release to submit to local media.
