ATTENDED THE WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE MEETING ON FEBRUARY 16, 2003.
ATTENDED PLANNING MEETING FOR THE LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE. ATTENDED AND PARTICIPATED IN THE ANNUAL CHAPTER OPERATIONS WORKSHOP ON FEBRUARY 15, 2003..
ATTENDED MINI MEETING FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE FEBRUARY 1, 2003 AFTER SORORITY MEETING. RECEIVED A DISPOSABLE CAMERA AND FOLDER WITH INFORMATION.
ATTENDED THE STANDARDS COMMITTEE MEETING ON JANUARY 22, 2003. I WILL CREATE A FORM OF THE PREFERRED METHOD OF CONTACT. THIS WILL HELP TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION. THE FORM WILL BE READY FOR THE MARCH MEETING. NEXT STANDARDS MEETING IS FEBRUARY 26, 2003.
ATTENDED THE MEMBERSHIP MEETING ON JANUARY 21, 2003.
HELPED TO CALL SORORS TO HAVE THEIR NAME SUBMITTED FOR REGIONAL CONFERENCE DELEGATES.
REVIEWED SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION WITH CHANGES TO REFLECT RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE MATCHING FUNDS.
SUBMITTED A CHECK TO THE CHAPTER ON FEBRUARY 1, 2003 IN THE AMOUNT OF $500 FROM KAPPA XI FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY AWARDED.

Audit: The internal audit was conducted and reported at the January meeting.
Awards: The Awards committee will be notified of the opportunity to submit for awards for the Regional Conference that will take place in Alaska this year.
Budget and Finance: In an effort to enhance and maintain sound financial procedures, it is suggested that the procedures are reinforced and sorors are educated on the proper way to obtain reimbursements. It is being proposed that sorors are reimbursed only at the Regular Sorority meeting and at Executive Committee meeting. The proper voucher must be completed, the appropriate signatures obtained and receipts attached at the time of the request.
Constitution and Bylaws: The Constitution and Bylaws were updated to reflect the changes and presented at the January 2003 meeting.
Graduate Advisor’s Task Force: Kappa Xi will return to school January 21, 2003 for the Spring Semester and I will attend their first meeting January 26, 2003.
Membership: I will be in attendance for the Membership meeting to be held January 21, 2003 at Soror Jackie Hall’s office.
Nominating: No activity.
Public Relations: I met with the chair after the January Sorority meeting. Also, provided feedback/revisions to an article to be submitted to the Ivy Leaf about the Economic Seminar held in conjunction with Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity.
Scholarship: Attended the Ronald McDonald House Charities matching scholarship meeting. Sent correspondence to Scholarship Committee members on the meeting and forthcoming activities.
Standards: No activity.
Tellers: The Tellers tabulated the votes for the Thelma Tyree Award presented at Founder’s Day.
Ways and Means: I attended the Ways and Means committee meeting on January 13, 2003. The Mardi Gras Ball was discussed as well as ideas for other fundraising opportunities.

Program Committee Report-April, 2003
Education Task Force-
Attended the judging of the Young Author’s Contest. Judges were highly impressed with the caliber of work submitted forjudging.
A reception for winners, their parents and teachers will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 6:00 pm. in the Clark County School District’s Edward Greer Educational Center on Flamingo Road. Sorors are invited to attend.
Arts and Humanities-
The committee has planned a “Mother/Daughter Tea” on Sunday, May 18th, from 2-4 pm. at the Las Vegas Arts Center. This event is being coordinated with the AKAteens. In addition to bringing their mothers, they will provide the entertainment for the afternoon.
NBLIC-
I will attend the conference, “Addressing Real and Potential Health Disparities in the Las Vegas Environment” at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino on Thursday, April '17th.

ATTENDED MINI MEETING FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE APRIL 5, 2003 AFTER SORORITY MEETING.
ATTENDED THE KAPPA XI PICNIC HELD ON UNLV’S CAMPUS WITH SORORS TISHA JOHNSON, TASHA DANIELS, AND ROSILYN WILLIAMS. ATTENDED KAPPA XI’S MEETING WITH SOROR TISHA JOHNSON ON APRIL 7, 2003 IN ABSENCE OF THE GRADUATE ADVISOR. PRESENTED INFORMATION TO THE LEAD TEAM ON APRIL 9, 2003 AT UNLV. THE PRESENTATION WAS TO REQUEST FUNDING FOR LEADERSHIP REGISTRATION COSTS FOR KAPPA XI. THEY WILL PAY FOR TWO MEMBERS. KAPPA XI MEMBERS ARE STILL SEEKING FUNDING FROM OTHER CAMPUS SOURCES.
ATTENDED THE STANDARDS COMMITTEE MEETING ON APRIL 9, 2003. ASSISTED WITH REVIEWING THE STANDARDS SURVEY AND COMPILING THE DATA.

I met the Ivy Leaf's editor at the Leadership Conference.

Seven (7) members of Thete Thete Omega were trained to operate our new Public & Private Website at the Las Vegas Review Journal office.
Articles announcing Leadership Conference, The Retreat and our upcoming club meeting were sent to The Las Vegas Review Journal and The Las Vegas Sun.

Card Tournament:
Flyers were sent out to 21 local organizations announcing our upcoming card tournament.

We need gifts for door prizes, if you can donate a gift or gifts, they will be greatly appreciated.
