UNITY COUNCIL
Dear Advisors and Organizations;
The Unity Council is compromised of 2 -3 members of each fraternity and sorority mentoring program. The overall objective and purpose of the Council is to collaborate ideas, enhance leadership, create character, and bridge communication among organizations. In our efforts to bridge and strengthen bonds among different organizations, the Council, in conjunction with each Greek organization, will host its 1st annual Unity Picnic Thursday, April 17, 2003 from 12 - 6 pm at Lorenzi Park (Area C).
In our efforts to make this event a success, your support is needed. We are anticipating 200 youth to attend this event and we have asked each youth organization to donate $75 by Thursday, April 10, 2003. These funds will be utilized to purchase food, condiments, and other items. All meats will be donated by Councilman Weekly.
To ensure safety and control, each member is asked to wear their organization’s paraphernalia. Each active member will also be required to wear wrist bands in order to identify membership.
Chaperones are also needed to Bar B Q, serve food, and assist in other areas, if needed. We are excited and looking forward to a day of food, music, games, and fellowship among organizations.
Unity Council Chairman
