    WHEREAS, the City of Las Vegas deems it in the public interest to call for said public hearing on the annexation of the hereinafter described property, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of December, 1956, that the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas declares its intention to annex to the City of Las Vegas the following described property: Those certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: PARCEL I The NW¼ of the NW¼ and the S½ of the SW¼ and the E½ of Section 30, T20S, R62E, MDB&M. PARCEL II All of Section 31 T20S, R62E, MDB&M. PARCEL III All of Sections 29 and 32, T20S, R62E, MDB&M, save and except the East 50 feet thereof. PARCEL IV The South 50 feet of Sections 19 and 18, T20S, R62E, MDB&M. PARCEL V The North 50 feet of Sections 5 and 6, T21S, R62E, MDB&M. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer be and hereby is ordered to file a plat in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Las Vegas showing the area here­inabove described which is to be annexed; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on said determination to annex shall be held at 7:30 P.M. on the 16th day of January, 1957 at the Council Chambers at 5th and Stewart Streets in the City Hall of the City of Las Vegas and all freeholders of such territory, sought to be annexed, shall appear in person, or by filing a properly signed petition with the City Clerk on or before the date named to show cause why said territory should not be annexed to the City of Las Vegas: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a notice of said hearing shall be published twice each week for a period of two weeks in a newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas, and said notice shall be posted in at least three (3) public places in the territory sought to be annexed and a copy of said notice to be mailed to all known freeholders of the said territory sought to be annexed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the notice provided herein this Resolution shall be in substantially the form attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved that authorization be granted to advertise for bids for the towing contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Fountain moved the request of Edward DeBord to transfer his club liquor license for the Downtown Civic & Social Club from 126½ North 1st Street to 117 North Main Street be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Hunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Harriet Cicchetti for a restaurant beverage license for Rocco's, 2008 E. Charleston be held in abeyance until Rocco and Peter Cicchetti register with the Police Department. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Z-L Enterprises for the liquor and gaming licenses for the Louisiana Club, 1322 North F Street be deferred until there is a full Board present. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Bunker moved the addition of William W. Naylor for addition to the license of the Golden Gate be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent:- Commissioner Whipple. Commissioner Sharp moved the following applications for permits for charitable soli­citation be approved as recommended by the Solicitations Review Board: VARIETY CLUB OF SOUTHERN NEVADA CLARK COUNTY CHAPTER NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR INFANTILE PARALYSIS MARCH OF DIMES QUARTER MIDGET RACING ASSN Extension of time Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
