C O FI Las Vegas , 1910r Mr. H. I. Bettis, Vice Brest.& Auditor, L V L & W Co., Los Angeles, Cal. Dear Sir:- I am enclosing you herewith some leases of house recently rented; and in this connection, I would like to call your attention to some of the many complaints from those renting our houses. There have been twice as many possihlyrefuse to rent as have rented, and the causes as handed to me by them are many, one of the chief complaints being that our houses are not equipped with window shades. Los Angeles renters, or renters from other places, say that they have never rented houses without having window shades furnished; and, in this connection, I believe that it would be advisable to furnish shades for every house and have than installed, as in the case of Renner, who moved out one of our houses on the 15th and of course his window shades leaving the casing marked up where the shades were taken from. There is also complaint from every one in reference to the condition of the houses, not being cleaned. I also belietre it would be a good idea to have some one clean ^each and every one of those houses thoroly, as they are now in the condition as left by the carpenters, painters and plasterers, which is not inviting to any one looking at the same with a view of renting. These two objections' are the principal objections that have been handed to me by tb protective renters; and While there are many other complaints, I wi 11 try to offset than. But I would like very much to have window shades furnished for the house and have the houses cleaned. Will you kindly advise. Yours truly, signed- Walter R.Bracken, Agent
