    VARIANCE V-14-59 Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Vern R. Waite and Gertrude S. Waite Vern R. & Gertrude for a variance to operate a service bar to sell mixed drinks in connection with S. Waite a restaurant which had been leased to Macayo Vegas, Inc., a Nevada Corporation, at 1741 East Charleston Boulevard, legally described as Lot 8, Block 10, Mayfair Approved #2 Amended, in a C-1 zone, be approved as recommended by the Board of Zoning Adjustment subject to the condition that the approval of a variance from the Zoning Ordinance provisions did not in any way affect other existing ordinances or regulations pertinent to the selling of mixed drinks at a service bar in connection with a restaurant. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR LICENSE Commissioner Fountain moved the application of Macayo Vegas, Inc., for a Macayo Vegas, Inc. Service Bar License at the Macayo Vegas, Inc., 1741 East Charleston Boulevard be approved on the basis of favorable police report and the Supervisor of Approved License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. USE PERMIT U-24-59 Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Charleston Plaza, Inc., to construct Charleston Plaza, a service station at 1830 East Charleston Boulevard, which is the southwest Inc. corner of Charleston and Burnham, in a C-1 Zone, be approved as recommended by the Board of Zoning Adjustment subject to conformance to the plot plan as amended. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. INFORMAL BID Commissioner Whipple moved Informal Bid #I-14-59 to supply and grade fill #I-14-59 material for Rotary Club Park be awarded to the only bidder the Bluebolt Fill Material - Hauling Company, 800 South Main, in the amount of $1,950; engineer's Rotary Club Park estimate was $2,100. Bluebolt Hauling Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Company - Award Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. INFORMAL BID Commissioner Fountain moved Informal Bid #I-15-59 for Chain Link Fence at the #I-15-59 Municipal Golf Course be awarded to the Las Vegas Fence & Supply Co., P. 0. Chain Link Fence; Box 3277, in the amount of $9,308 on the basis of low bid; engineer's estimate Golf Course was $11,250. L. V. Fence & Supply Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Award Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. INFORMAL BID Commissioner Whipple moved Informal Bid #I-16-59 for furnishing a Trencher #I-16-59 be awarded to the Western Machinery Company, Phoenix, Arizona, in the amount Trencher of $1,250 for the only bid received; engineer's estimate was $1,300. Western Mchy. Co. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Award Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. GREATER LAS VEGAS The final plat for Greater Las Vegas No. 3, Unit No. 3, was not considered NO. 3, UNIT NO. 3 at this time. CHARLESTON HEIGHTS Commissioner Whipple moved the final plat for Charleston Heights Tract 10B, TRACT 10B submitted by Charleston Heights, Inc., Ernest A. Becker, President, be approved FINAL PLAT as recommended by the Engineering Department. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. BELLEVUE Commissioner Fountain moved the final plat for Bellevue Subdivision submitted SUBDIVISION by Rhind Investment Corporation, Winifred G. Withers and Claude C. Withers, FINAL PLAT be approved as recommended by the Engineering Department subject to the approval of the subdivision agreement and bond by the City Attorney. Approved Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. BID 59.06 - STREET Commissioner Fountain moved final payment in the amount of $1,329.21 be made to LIGHTING; SUNRISE the Acme Electric Company for work completed under Contract #211H.7, Bid No. 59.06 AVENUE for Street Lighting at Sunrise Avenue between 25th and 28th Streets and the Royal Indemnity Company Performance and Payment Bonds be released. Final Payment and Release of Bonds Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Elwell, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor Mayor Gragson voting aye; noes, none. 10-23-59
