copy PUBLISCT ATSEE RVOIFC NEE VCAODMAMISSION NCoavresmobne Cri t£y3,, N1e9v5a1da Mr. E. E. Bennett, General Solicitor Union Pacific Railroad 422 W. Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California Dear Ed: On November 21 there was sent to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company at Las Vegas, a copy of Las Vegas Land and Water Company First Revised Sheet PSGN No. 2, cancelling Original Sheet PSGN No. 2, to become effective December 1, 1951, copy of which is enclosed for your files. The only change in this sheet is for bungalow court (motel) and provides for a rate for the first unit instead of all units being based upon the same rate. This sheet was revised by the Commission. the Commission's original opinion and order, dated August 24, 1951, bungalow courts and motels were assigned a rate of fl.10 per month for each living unit without toilet or bath, and #1.65 per month §25 each living unit with toilet or bath. These rates were based on 10£ increase over the old rates in effect at the time of the hearing. ., The Commission is of the opinion that it was in error at that time in that it did not take into consideration the stipulation enter- ed into at the time of the hearing between the water company and the motel operator»s association in that any rate prescribed for motels for the first unit should not be in excess of that prescribed for a private residence, which in this case is #1.65, plus 30# for each tub or shower, plus 30# for eaeh toilet. . a, believe that the 88# rate for each unit without kitchen and for each unit with kitchen, and a rate of 2# per 140 so.ft. for irrigation is in line with the above-referred to stipulation. , . also recall that in the order the Commission retained jurisdiction in the premises for the purpose of amending any rate, rule or regulation as it deems proper. I trust in view of the above explanatioh that your company will have no objection to the revised sheet becoming effective December 1, -Ly • LBSjCA ec: Las Vegas Land & Water Co, Las Vegas, Sev. Very truly yours, PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NEVADA By signed Lee S. Scott Secretary LTaism NVeoglalsn,e rN e-v aHdltachln* Post Hotel
