Los Angeles, April 13, 1953 569 Mr. S. E. Bennett; (cc- Mr.Wm.Reinhardt- wdietshc ricpotpiyo no fand statement) Referring to your letter of April 2nd.file 8-12, regarding transfer of Railroad-owned water bearing land at Las Vegas to Las Vegas Land and Water Company. Attached, please find description dated Apr.7, 1953, covering the so-called 507-Acre Tract of land to be conveyed to the Las Vegas Land and Water Co. for eventual conveyance to the Water District. Please understand that survey has not been made of this land and therefore it became necessary to describe two parcels, viz. Parcel 1 and Parcel 9 by the use of the arbitrary distances which I established at the beginning of negotiations with the District. It is assumed that you will desire to make this deed subject to General and Special taxes for the calendar year 1953 now a lien but not yet payable. The annual rental charge which should be paid for rights of way for existing facilities situated on Railroad land, which land is not included in the 507-Acre Tract, is as follows: For Railroad owned power lines,#310.20 per year; For Railroad owned pipe lines #1726.20 per year; For LVL&W Co.pipe lines, #9Q3..00 per year. The detail of the above rental, is as.shown on the attached statement. Please see also Preliminary Title report sent you with my letter of Nov. 20, 1952; and would also call your attention to the fact that ,a portion of Parcel 8 in the attached description is probably being used by the Public as a part of Charleston Boulevard.
