(7) The tail is (3) stories high and the wingspan is 75'.It is electrically run by two motors located behind its big wheels With the (4) large landing lights blinding everybody, nobody notices the large electrical cable attached to the belly of the plane. * The electrical dimmer bank has a potential dimming power of 3,780,000 watts. The Show averages 250,000 watt/hours per Show and after 6,000 Shows, over 3 million watt/ hours of power. FLY RAIL The Fly Rail is located (4) stories above the stage and is supervised by "Gunner" Glaser. The Fly crew plays a very important role as they provide the backdrops that are used for each scene. With many of the drops moving in full view by the Audience, there is no room for error without it being very obvious. They're the "riggers" of the Show and their talents are constantly in demand in the Convention area as well as on the stage. * From the deck area to the roof above the stage is ?ç 10 stories or 100 feet. * There are a total of 117 lines on the Fly Rail, but only 77 are used in the Show. * To suspend the drops over the stage, it takes over 30 miles of steel cable and over 5 miles of rope. * In cloth alone, there is over 160,000 square feet hanging in the theatre, which includes over....31,000 square feet of black duvateen cloth. * * The Fly crew pulls an estimated 1 mile 300 feet of rope each Show. During the past 6,000 Shows, these flymen have pulled over 6,342 miles of rope. To counterbalance the tremendous weight of the drops, there is a total of over 150,000 lbs. of pig weight on the arbors or.... 75 tons. This is an average of close to one ton of counterweight for each drop that is used in the Show. LIGHT BOOTH The Light Booth crew is located some 25 feet above the Audience in the grid area. This crew provides the numerous technical skills that are needed to properly illuminate the Show. The crew consists of a Light Board operator, (3) Front Spotlight operators, a projectionist and Video cameraman.
