Los Angeles - Dec. 8, 1952 1-733*’ HivBeimett -• lies -Ansteies^ (CC~Xr.Wa. R Mr. W, H. Johnson/''Las Vegas) Referring to your le tte r to Mr. McNamee dated December 5, 1952. f ile 80-11, 1 am enclosing one copy of revised draft for bid to be submitted by the Las Vegas Valley Water D istrict to the Union Pacific Railroad Company for purchase of water f a c ilitie s . X have reviewed the revised draft and find that i t agrees with a l l the matters mentioned in our previous letters and our several conversations. However, X have two items which 1 now think should 1. On Page 2 of the revised draft, mention is made of the vater right reserved in a Deed from Helen J . Stewart, et a i, to W. A. Clark dated December 8, 1902. The vater which the Stewarts reserved for use on the Stewart burial plat is furnished from a pipeline connection to the water main which we constructed some ten or eleven years age across the LVL&W property immediately south of the southwest oorner of ths Stewart burial p lat. , This pipe ic only a 2-inch connection and a few feet long and extends into a box at the southerly edge of ths burial p lat. Xn our dsed reservation, the LVL&W le obligated to furnish water to the burial plat and X assume that the D istrict, when i t purchases our water holdlnge, w ill take ever this obligation; but X do not see where they have been advised to th is effect unless i t has bsen mentioned in sems cf the conferences you held with the D istrict o ffic ia ls. 2. Page 6 of revised draft Of bid, 2nd paragraph, states that the term "shop grounds" le bounded ----- on the west by a lin e p arallel to and 900 feet westerly of said Main Line. Due to the fact the location of the Main Line may be changed, i t ie ay opinion i t would be best to say "and 1300 feet westerly of west lin e of Main Street** be considered: R. L. ADAM SC
