4No74t7. -1271,- 641951 Mr. Thomas W. Robinson District Engineer U.S. Geological Survey State Office Building Carson City, Nevada Dear Mr. Robinson: Referring to my letter of August 14th in connection with application filed by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company with the Nevada Public Service Commission for authority to amend its rules by refusing to extend its mains or make any new connections after a certain cut-off date. In view of the continually increasing building activity in Las Vegas, we have decided to revive our application and asked the Commission to grant an order ex parte fixing such cut-off date pending formal hearing on the application. This the Commission has done and I enclose, for your information, a copy of the Order. You will note that hearing on the matter has been set down for January 22, 1952 and I would, therefore, like to have you testify along the lines of your testimony in Case No. 1207, which was tried in Las Vegas September 20th and 21st, 1950, and which involved complaints against the water service furnished to the inhabitants of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. I imagine you can secure from the office of the Public Service Commission copy of the transcript of the testimony in that case but for your ready Information I enclose copy of letter I have written Mr. Allen in Justification of my request for an ex parte order, which letter refers briefly to your testimony.
