S» M* McGowan, Superintendent Indian School, y Fort Mojave, Arizona, Sir: In compliance with your request of 17th ultimo, and on recommendation of this office, the Department under date of 29th ultimo, has authorized you to advertise the two old, unserviceable mules you speak of, by written posters conspicuously placed in the vicinity of the school and elsewhere, and to sell them at public sale to the highest bidder or bidders, for cash. Take the proceeds up on your account current as Miscellaneous Receipts, Class 4, and hold them for the present, subject to disbursement for the benefit of your school, on your recommendation and the approval of the Department.
