    BLOW SAND; DEVELOPMENT Commissioner Sharp moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for bids to OF HYDE PARK RECREATION be opened May 20, 1959, for the furnishing and delivering of 3200 cu. yds. of blow sand for AREA AND SWIMMING POOL the development of the Hyde Park Recreation Area and adjacent to the swimming pool at a total AREA estimated cost of $3,200.00 be approved. Approved to go to Bid Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners May 20, 1959 Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. AUTOMATIC SPRINKLING Commissioner Fountain moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for SYSTEM ADJACENT TO HYDE bids to be opened June 3, 1959, for the installation of an automatic sprinkling system adjacent PARK SWIMMING POOL to the Hyde Park Swimming Pool in a total estimated amount of $3,500.00 be approved. Approved to go to Bid Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners June 3, 1959 Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. REMODEL ROOMS IN Commissioner Sharp moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for bids MUNICIPAL POOL BUILDING to be opened June 3, 1959, for the remodeling of two rooms in the Municipal Pool Building for use of Recreation Department at a total estimated cost of $2,200.00 each or a total of Approved to go to Bid $4,400.00 be approved. June 3, 1959 Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. STREET REPAIR CONTRACT Commissioner Fountain moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for RENEWAL bids to be opened June 3, 1959, for the renewal of the street repair contract in the estimated amount of $25,000.00 be approved. Approved to go to Bid June 3, 1959 Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. FURNISHING OF TIRES, Commissioner Whipple moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for bids BATTERIES, MAINTENANCE to be opened June 3, 1959, for furnishing of tires, batteries, maintenance supplies, oil, gasoline, SUPPLIES, OIL, GASOLINE, seed and fertilizer, traffic paint and electric lamps be approved. SEED & FERTILIZER, TRAFFIC PAINT & ELECTRIC Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners LAMPS Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Approved to go to Bid June 3, 1959 REVISION OF TRAFFIC Commissioner Sharp moved that the request of the Public Works Department to advertise for bids SIGNAL INSTALLATION; to be opened June 3, 1959, for the revision of the traffic signal installation at 5th Street and 5th & San Francisco San Francisco Avenue at an estimated cost of $2,700.00, to be borne jointly by the City, County, and State, be approved. Approved to go to Bid June 3, 1959 Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CHARLESTON HEIGHTS The Commission considered the acceptance of final plat for Charleston Heights Tract No. 6B. TRACT NO. 6B The Engineering Department has checked final designs and recommended approval of this plat. Acceptance of Final Subdivision agreement has been signed and bond in the amount of $42,695.42 has been posted. Plat Commissioner Fountain moved that the acceptance of Final Plat for Charleston Heights Tract No. Approved 6B be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. QUITCLAIM DEED The Commission considered the Quitclaim Deed to the City of Las Vegas from Spurgeon W. and Ruth Spurgeon W. & Ruth L. L. Daniels consisting of 5 feet additional right-of-way on north one-half of Adams Avenue Daniels between "M" and "N" Streets. Resolution of Commissioner Fountain moved that the following Resolution of Acceptance be adopted and order Acceptance Adopted made: RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF QUITCLAIM DEED On motion of Commissioner E. W. Fountain, duly seconded by Commissioner Harris P. Sharp, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 6th day of May, 1959, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of LasVegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 23rd day of April, 1959, executed by Spurgeon W. Daniels and Ruth L. Daniels, husband and wife, to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board.
