I agree.Assessment - West Riverside Canal. Los Angeles, Cal. March 14, 1917. Mr. A. S. Halsted, General Counsel, Dear Sir: I hand you a file ending with letter dated March 13th, from Mr. Cullen, regarding a bill from the West Riverside Canal Committee, for a proportion of expenses for the year 1916. You will note that Mr. Cullen suggests a revision of our contract No. 471, covering water v/hich we secure from the canal. If future assessments amount.-asag; to less than the payments provided for in the contract,it would, of course, be to our advantage to have same amended as he suggests, but if this id done it seems to me that it should carry a provision that in no basesthe assessment be in excess of such amount.
