Mr. McHamee today proposed extension o f agreement between’ Los Angeles & S a lt Lake Railroad Company and Las Vegas Land & Water Company, covering furnishing to the l a t t e r o f water and e l e c t r i c i t y at Las Vegas, agreement co v ering which accompanied his l e t t e r June-21. While our le t t e r to him June 16- requested that the extension agreement cover only the water arrangement, he pre-prepared form to cover the e n tire contract and inasmuch as since our l e t t e r to him was w ritte n , Mr. Calvin has given permission to n eg otia te sale o f our franchise and pole line to the Consolidated Power & Telephone Company, Mr. McUamee thought i t advisable to extend the old agreement in i t s e n t ir e t y , especi a l l y as^ i f the s itu a tio n warrants, i t could be terminated upon s ix ty days n o tic e .
