SINCE 1916 310 FREMONT STREET LAS V E G A S , NE V ADA Las Vegas Land & Water Company, #^01 So. 2nd Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, Gentlemen: Referring to your letter under date of August 6, informing me as owner of the El Portal Theatre that I would be charged $ 87.50 per month because^ of refrigeration cooling equipment used in connection with the El Portal Theatre and offices. For your^nformation I have cooling towers located on the roof of my building and re-use the water. These, towers are kept in good condition and the only water used is that lost by evaporation. While I have not received a bill, I take it from your letter that I will be billed. Please take notice that I am protesting this charge and am sending a copy of this letter to the Public Service Commission, asking that a complete investigation be made. I am willing to co-operate in this investigation by allowing you to place a meter on the feed line to these towers to determine the amount of water I use. O' Carson City, Nevada.
