California 90069 Telephone 213/653-5577 December 7, 1995 Mr. William Lacuff Princess Casinos Limited Freeport, Grand Bahamas Island Re: 1996 Revision of Casino Show Dear Bill: I have spent many hours attempting to create a revised edition of "Nightlife" that will be acceptable considering the proposed cuts. Because of the new reduced cast, each version I devised seemed to be laden with problems. However, I believe my final solution will work in terms of costumes and scenery changes. It is well paced and with the performance levels of Jay Mitchell and the Adagio team, there should still be some measure of entertainment value. I'm sure that you can appreciate the fact that it is much easier to conceive a new show for a small cast than it is to reduce a show conceived for a much larger cast without losing effect. I have been assured that the past and present version of "Nightlife" which I created for the Princess Casino always receive great audience response and quite often standing ovations. The maitre'd tells me that he hears lots of compliments about the show but never gets a complaint. Moreover, the hotel survey that is completed by the guests either rave about the show or say "We didnft know you have a show". I am repeatedly made aware that the show isn't properly advertised or represented. To illustrate: When people walk into the casino they see showcases with photos of the previous show so if they've been to the Princess before they think they've seen it. The flyers that are put in the guest rooms make the show look more like an island recital than
