Gentlemen: At your invitation we submit the following bid on drilling a water well to a depth of approximately 850 feet in depth, on property known as the Old Banch at las Vegas, Nevada. (a) Price per lineal ft. to depth of well-$4.50 (b) Price per lineal ft. for slot perforating easing -$1.00 (c) Price per lineal ft. for installation and cementing of 16rt conductor pipe!including material) - $2.00 (d) lump sum price for construction of concrete mat as per your specifications, including material - $200.00 (e) lump sum price of installation of fittings and valve at top of well - $50.00 (f) lump sum price for cementing off bottom of well in event same is required? It would be rather difficult to arrive at an estimated cost for the work that you might desire to have performed under paragraph (S1), without more definite knowledge of just in what manner you might wish to have this cement job done if it is needed, however it should not amount to more than $300.00 at the most. The requirements do not mention the possibility of what might have to be done in regard to drill cuttings and mud that will be removed from the well in drilling operations, and since the swimming pool is nearby and down hill from the drill site, it is quite possible that a slush pit will have to be dug to keep mud, water, and slush from spreading out around and into the pool. Beferring to Bequirement f5, it is our opinion that a drive shoe for the 16” pipe will not be needed, we would agree to furnish the 12H drive shoe at cost price, estimated at $50.00 to $60.00* It is assumed by us that you wish to have the 12” pipe installed to the total depth of the well and we wish to mention the fact that we would expect to encounter a formation at a depth of around 500 to 600 feet that sometimes will"freeze" or cause the pipe to become tight in the hole so that it could not be moved either up or down. There is this possibility, and we
