Cory, our attorney in the State of Nevada, I an taking the liberty of writing to you concerning the disposal of any land of the Onion Pacific Railroad Co. or the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Co* which may be deemed to be no longer needed for railroad purposes and which is not acquired by the Las Vegas Valley Water District if and when the Las Vegas Valley water Co* la transferred to the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Specifically, we desire to purchase all available land of the railroad companies* in Sections 28, 29, 30, 31* 32 and 33 of Twp. 20 South, Range 61 East, M.D.B. & M., all of which is located in the City of Las Vegas, west of the railroad shops* Furthermore, we would like to acquire the "old ranch” property [f the railroad company or Las Vegas Land and Water Co. in Sections |5 and 26, township 20 South, Bangs 61 East, M.D.B.&M. As you may be advised, we axe the largest builder of biases in is S;/ate of Nevada and during the past two yeavs we have commenced completed the construction of more than 1300 houses in Clark County, ivada. We feel that we axe qualified both financially and from the ptandpolnt of experience to develop housing in the above described esc Which would be acceptable to the railroad eonpsnica and which 111 constitute a substantial improvement to the City of Las Vegas* 1 will be pleased to come to Omaha to discuss this matter with m or take may other steps which you may suggest to negotiate a suit* ils arrangement mutually satisfactory to all parties concerned. In the event there la a representative of yours in the main rise in Los Angeles who may discuss this matter with me, I will aedlktely commence negotiations in Los Angeles in keeping with any luggestion you may see fit to make. please accept my thanka for your earnest consideration of this matter and let aw know what additional information you may require In support of the foregoing proposal.
