BOOS, Administrative Assistant, and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the 22nd day of May, 1957, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Public Hearing - Vacation of a portion of Jackson Avenue 2. Kennedy______________ A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held this 22nd day of May, 1957 was called to order at the hour of 8:30 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Baker with the following members present: Mayor C. D. Baker Commissioner E. W. Fountain Commissioner Harris P. Sharp Commissioner Reed Whipple City Manager A. H. Kennedy Adm. Assistant Robert F. Boos City Attorney Howard W. Cannon Planning Director Franklin J. Bills Field Engineer Ken Hansen City Clerk Shirley Lodwick Absent: Commissioner Wendell Bunker This being the time heretofore set for the public hearing on the petition of Burley M. Jones and other property owners, and the recommendation of the Planning Commission for the vacation of "M" Street between Washington and Adams, His Honor asked if there were any objections to the vacation of this street. No one present objected, and there were no protests filed with the Clerk concerning the proposed vacation. Planning Director Bills stated that the vacation of this street was one of the conditions set forth by the Planning Commission when recommending approval of the tentative map of Bonanza Terrace, the same having been considered and approved by the Board of Commissioners at a regular meeting held April 17, 1957. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the Planning Commission, this petition for the vacation of "M" Street located between Washington and Adams, be approved, and the following order adopted: ORDER OF VACATION A Petition, dated the 11th day of April, 1957, signed by three (3) freeholders residing in the area affected, having been filed with the Clerk of this Board, petitioning for the vacation of a portion of "M" Street hereinafter described, and said Petition having been by Order of this Board, referred to the Planning Commission of the City of Las Vegas for its recommendation in the premises, and said Planning Commission having filed its report, dated April 12, 1957, and this Board approving and PUBLIC HEARING Vacation of "M" Street
