FRAN COHEN HONORED BY HADASSAH Las Vegas, Nevada (7/31) Mrs. Carl Cohen of this city has been appointed Membership Chairman of the Southern Pacific Coast Region of Hadassah, it was announced today. The area involved covers Nevada, California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. The appointment is an honorary one, and was made by the National Headquarters of Hadassah in New York City. Mrs. Cohen has been President of the Las Vegas Chapter since 1965, and was largely responsible for building the membership from the 28 members who chartered the Las Vegas Chapter into a membership of over 400. In her new capacity, she will oversee and help increase the membership of all the chapters in her area. Mrs. Cohen is the wife of Carl Cohen, Vice President of the Sands Hotel, and is the mother of two sons. She is the first Las Vegas woman so honored by the national organization. # # #
