Allen, Chairman Public Service Commission of Nevada Carson City, Nevada Re: Young and Smith Ready Mix Concrete Company Dear Mr* Allen: The Las Vegas Land and Water Company has for some time past in its rate tariff a rate identified as Rate No. 17 for "Concrete or Cement Work". Back in October, 1951# the Young and Smith Ready Mix Concrete Company wrote you with respect to the Application of that rate to ready mix and transit mix concrete, and since that time and in line with correspondence you have had with the Ready Mix Concrete Company and with the Water Company we have been endeavoring to work out a new rate to take care of this commodity. I am enclosing herewith original and one copy of First Revised Sheet PSCN No. B In which you will note we have incorporated Rate No* 55-A. The volume of this rate has been discussed with the Ready Mix Concrete Company, and it Is agreeable to them. It is proposed to make this rate effective December 1st, I presume since there has been no formal hearing on this matter that no Order would be issued approving the proposed rate; however, In view of the fact that these negotiations have been carried on since October, 1951# and since the Ready Mix Concrete Company has been paying a rate under the old tariff we request your authority t© put this new rate in effect December 1, 1952# and to refund to 1 . !
