Parvin Company of Los Angeles to add new dimensions of comfort and beauty to Desert Inn guests rooms. Two of the several new room decors now at the Dl are shown here. Remodeling work was done as a continuing process in small blocks of rooms in order not to disturb the normal hotel activities or inconvenience guests. The combination of traditional heritage and modern-day practicality is exemplified in many ways. Luxurious oak dressers and nightstands have specially created slate-like tops made of a combination of slate and asbestos which is impervious to liquid spillage and heat. Bedspreads, although luxuriously quilted, utilize the latest in polyfoam, insuring lasting beauty. All of the lamps are faithful reproductoins of original Heritage pieces duplicated in the unbreakable materials of today. Functional, workable and luxurious guest rooms at the Desert Inn emphasize the hotel's character and assure visitors of just one more reason to holiday at the Dl. yy H H >' 17 II It 717 71 77|| If Hit I* :;77l; ?√ß,y'y ?√ß ?? .-.:'-?√ß<::?√ß:.,?√ß?√ß-,:?√ß<'-yy '7l777-:-v. z.yy;zK:-y WZymZyyMWM yyZZymyyyym-y :H M, :?║;?√ß * ?╟≤*?√ß?√ß % 1 if W. i : y : ?√ß * : ?y H :yy y- 1 \ ; % & II: H ?√ßi% H %-\ H;:'7 ; ,7: vv*rc~->^ From the Fall Collection of Elegance, 1968 winter White four ply crepe shaped from a narrow bodice, to a slender flare at hem. The most important foundation for "go" hairdos as seen by Antoine's experts is a precision cut based on a specially prescribed permanent wave. Regardless of how hair behaves at home, changes in climate and temperature can give it a new and not always desirable appearance. To guard against hair going wiry, limp, fuzzy or flat Antoine's styling geniuses begin each session with a shape-making "under-cut" . . . and insure its shapeliness with what they have dubbed their "trip-equipped perm." This closely cropped cut, longer at the crown, can be styled in soft waves, bubbling curls, sleekly smooth or topped by a postiche for a different view every day of a trip. antoine salon, desert jay hodapp, manager inn RECIPE OF OLD FASHIONED BEEF STEAK AND KIDNEY PIE Cut 11/2 lbs. of meat from beef shanks or chucks in approximately V/z inch squares by Va inch thick slices.
