    WHEREAS, such decision of the Regional Planning Commission was filed with the Board of City Commissioners on March 3, 1952, recommending that such variance be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that Richard Truesdell be granted permission to operate a business of making molded concrete bar- beque pits at 624 Bonanza Road in a C-2 (General Commerical )Use District, be and the same hereby is approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting ayej noes, none. VARIANCE APPLICATION - The recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission on the application of Nathaniel Nathaniel Collins Collins for variance to permit the construction of a beauty shop on the side of an existing house at 416 Monroe Street was presented at this time. Commissioner Bunker moved the following resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1952, Nathaniel Collins filed an application with the Regional Planning Commission for permission to construct a beauty shop on the side of an existing house at 416 West Monroe Street in an R-4 (Apartment Residence) Use District; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 1952, the Regional Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application for variance, at which time no objections were raised and no communications protest-, ing the granting of said variance were received; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 1952, the Regional Planning Commission approved such application for variance on the ground that such variance would not result in material damage to other property in the vicinity or be detrimental to the public welfare; and WHEREAS, such decision of the Regional Planning Commission was filed with the Board of City Commissioners on March 3, 1952, recommending that such variance be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that Nathaniel Collins be granted permission to construct a beauty shop on the side of an existing house at 416 West Monroe Street, being Lot 2 of Block 5, H. F. M. & M., in an R-4 (Apartment Residence) Use District be and the same hereby is approved, provided, however, that the privileges granted be util­ized in accordance with the time limit provided by ordinance. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, Commissioner Jarrett. VARIANCE APPLICATION The recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission on the application of Richard Toleno Richard Toleno for variance at 341 North 10th Street, was presented at this time. Commissioner Peccole moved the following resolution be adopted: RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on the 25th day of January, 1952, Richard Toleno filed an application with the Regional Planning Commission to permit the use of an already existing 8-unit apartment building at 341 North 10th Street in an R-2 (Two-Family Residence) Use District; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 1952, the Regional Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application for variance, at which time arguments were presented by all interested parties; and WHEREAS, on February 28, 1952, the Regional Planning Commission voted to deny the applica- tion on the ground that the applicant had obtained a permit to build a duplex only and, ignoring repeated communications from City Officials warning him of his violation; and WHEREAS, such decision was filed with the Board of City Commissioners on March 3, 1952, recommending that such variance not be granted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission that the variance application of Richard Toleno, 341 North 10th Street to permit the use of an al­ready existing 8-unit apartment in an R-2 (Two-Family Residence) Use District be denied, be and the same hereby is approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Jarrett passed his vote. SUNNYSIDE PARK Commissioner Bunker moved the tentative map of Sunnyside Park Subdivision be approved pro- Tentative Map viding the cross street on the west side of the school tract is extended. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. PROPOSED ORDINANCES - Commissioners Bunker and Whipple, committee for recommendation on the proposed ordinances Solicitors, Peddlers & amending the Solicitors, Peddlers and Itinerant Merchants Ordinances requested additional Itinerant Merchants time before reporting. ORDINANCE NO. 482 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 468 ENTITLED: "AN Civil Service EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, STATE OF NEVADA, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING CIVIL "SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY, DE­FINING TERMS; PROVIDING FOR EXAMINATIONS; ESTABLISHING ELIGIBILITY LISTS; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS, PROMOTIONS; DISCIPLINARY ACTION; REPORTS AND RECORDS; CLASSIFICATION AND PAY" PLANS; AND ALL MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE 391 AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH." BY CHANGING THE PHYSICAL QUALI­FICATIONS OF APPLICANTS FOR "POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY; AND REPEALING ALL OR­DINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, having been reported on favorably by
