OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA APRIL 21st, 1937. Minutes of a recessed regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held on the 21st day of April, 1937 at the hour of two o'clock P.M. Roll call showed the following present Mayor Arnett, Commissioners Krause, Marble and Perry City Clerk and Deputy City Attorney Ham. Absent Commissioner Down, and City Attorney Taylor. A letter from Bebek and Brkich, Contractors was presented to the Board at this time asking the City that the said Contractors be allowed to hire a Hunt Prossess Man at the rate of 75¢ per hour. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that it be Resolved, That pursuant to a request made in writing from Bebek and Brkich, contractors employed by the City of Las Vegas on Las Vegas 1937 Street Improvement Project District No. 3 also known as PWA Docket No. 1021 Nevada for Hunt Process man wages at rate of 75¢ per hour be granted subject to the approval of the P.W.A. for the State of Nevada. Vote was Commissioners Krause and Marble and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes none. Absent Commissioners Down and Perry. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that C.D.Baker, City Building Inspector issue a permit to Mrs. E.V. Breckenridge for the moving into the City of Las Vegas a house from Boulder City Nevada. Vote was Commissioners Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. On motion of Commissioner Marble seconded by Commissioner Krause it was moved and carried that the City of Las Vegas approve of the combining of the gasoline contract of the Richfield Oil Company and the Rio Grande Oil Company for sale of gasoline to the City of Las Vegas for the year 1937. Vote was Commissioners Krause, Marble and Perry and His Honor the Mayor voting aye. Noes, none. Mr. Blackman, appeared before the Board at this time in regard to the securing of aid from he City of Las Vegas for the operation of a recreational programme for the children of Las Vegas and stated that the sum of $4,000.00 would be needed to carry on this programme. Nr. Blackman was informed that the Board would give his request serious consideration. No further appearing before the Board the meeting recessed and adjourned until Tues­day the 27th day of April, 1937 at the hour of one thirty o'clock P.M.
