Dear Al: It was nice meeting with you when you were here in Las Vegas and I hope the pictures by Joern turn out nicely. I an thinking about a possible TIME spread in color on Las Vegas and would 1 ike to recomend the idea of entering, in color, the lavishness of the entertainment that is offered almost nine million visitors a year in Las Vegas. By the time you would get ready to shoot such a layout, there will be ten big hotels in operation, each with a floor show featuring at least tea colorfully gowned chorus girls. Each floor show features two production numbers which would give us twenty chances to come up with exciting stage action that would make great color pictures. Since the Sands opened with Entratter's own ideas la produotion and shows, there has been a frenzied rush on the part of all the hotels to spotlight beautiful dancing girls In lavish costumes and production numbers, with the result that as of today many visitors prefer a show cm the Strip which has exciting production numbers, to those shows which have big name stars. The trend toward this point was started by Entratter with his innovation in Las Vegas of the COPAGIRL, a trademark he made famous at the BEVERLY HI LLS, CAL* ?╟≤ 449 SOUTH BEYER LY DRIVE ?╟≤ CRESJVIEW 6-4326
