Las Vegas - March 19, 1953 Mr, Wm. Reinhardt - Los Angeles Please refer to LVL&WCo. 1953 Budget Item No, 1 and print attached thereto covering construction of 6H water line at LVL&WCo. expense, to serve Lot 11 and south half of Lot 10 in Ladd's Addition, Las Vegas, Nevada, submission and recommendation for which was made in your letter to Mr. Stoddard dated December 11, 1952 copy attached, which I do not believe was ever forwarded to Mr. Stoddard but was carried over as a 1953 budget item. In connection with the water line referred to I have received a call from Mr, Roy Whipple who advises that he is now starting construction of four new apartment buildings in Block 11 of Ladd's Addition and does not feel that these buildings can be adequately served from the miscellaneous privately owned service lines now serving this area. He advises also that he is unofficial representative of numerous other property owners in this vicinity and that they are all extremely anxious to have the Water Company install an adequate water line to serve this area thereby eliminating necessity of taking service from existing small privately owned lines, as la being done at the present time. In view of increased building activity In the vicinity of proposed line will you please advise whether or not you wish to consider its construction as proposed under the 1953 Budget Item No. 1. The data contained in submission of December 11, 1952 is substantially correct as of the present time. LRM!an L.R. Maag
