Sextant You any recall In the last public hearing held In Lae Vegas during August 1941, on the subject “Adequate water service in the City of Lae Vegas’1 etc., a suggestion was offered that a connection be made between the mains of the Las Vegas Land and later Company end the Boulder Syndicate, so that an adequate supply would be available In case o f fir# in the Boulder Addition* {Comalsalon1 s Case Ko. 1123, pages 23 - 3d) This suggestion was probably prompted by a rather serious fire that destroyed several units of an Auto Court in that sub-* division because, it was said, there was not sufficient water for the fire laddies to fight it, fhe water system in the Boulder Addition received tone criticism at that time from the public and the press, and probably unjustly, inasmuch as Pape did not serve water to this court, which had its own well.
