Description

Rose Garden Urban Renewal Project, North Las Vegas, Nevada. Top two photos (left and right) show examples of what the area looked like before urban renewal. The photos in the middle and at the bottom show the area after renewal. The project, at Main Street and Las Vegas Boulevard, replaced acres of what used to be the most run-down portion of the city. Redevelopment took place in the 1970s. The Casa Rosa project shown in the photos is the first phase of the redevelopment program and consists of 101 units developed in the area of Yale and Tonopah Streets.
