    CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: SHIRLEY LODWICK, City Clerk Date: March 27, 1957 Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, is hereby called to be held in the Mayor's Office of the City Hall, on the 27th day of March, 1957; at the hour of 4:00 P.M. to con­sider the following matters: 1. Hyde Park Circle Improvement - Award and rejection of bids 2. Revocation of Gaming License - Tom Rolofson 3. Resolution of Commendation - Gerald Stewart 4. Water District Representative 5. Resolution of Commendation - Robert W. Notti 6. Southern Nevada Industrial Foundation - Appointment of Representatives 7. City Elections - Pay for workers and publication of registered voters. s/s C.D. BAKER NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING TO: C.D. BAKER, Mayor and to WENDELL BUNKER, E.W. FOUNTAIN, HARRIS P. SHARP, REED WHIPPLE, Commissioners and A.H. KENNEDY, City Manager, R.F. BOOS, Administrative Assistant, and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney, of the City of Las Vegas. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Baker, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Mayor's Office of the City Hall, 5th and Stewart, on the 27th day of March, 1957, at the hour of 4:00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Hyde Park Circle Improvement - Award and rejection of bids 2. Revocation of Gaming License - Tom Rolofson 3. Resolution of Commendation - Gerald Stewart 4. Water District Representatives 5. City Elections - Pay for workers and publication of registered voters. s/ SHIRLEY LODWICK ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager, Administrative Assistant and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas do hereby admit due service of the foregoing notice of special meeting. s/ C.D. HAWKINS s/ WENDELL BUNKER Las Vegas, Nevada March 27, 1957 (CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING) A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada held this 27th day of March, 1957 was called to order at the hour of 4:00 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Baker with the following members present: Mayor C.D. Baker Commissioner Wendell Bunker Commissioner Harris P. Sharp Commissioner Reed Whipple City Manager A.H. Kennedy Adm. Assistant R.F. Boos City Engineer George E.Wade City Clerk Shirley Lodwick Absent: Commissioner E.W. Fountain City Attorney Howard W. Cannon City Engineer George E. Wade reported to the Commission that Bid No. 57.8 for the land­scaping and improvement of Hyde Park Circle had been analyzed and he was ready to report at this time. Mr. Wade stated that the only bid received, that of Goto Landscaping & Nursery Co., was incomplete in that there was no bid on sidewalks, the drinking foun­tains, curbs and gravel. The City Engineer further reported that he had contacted contractors other than land­scaping contractors and firms and had negotiated bids as requested by the Commission on March 20, 1957. Mr. Wade advised the Board that the negotiated bids had been re­ceived, and it was his recommendation that each portion of the proposed improvement of Hyde Park Circle be awarded to separate contractors. Commissioner Whipple moved that the bid of Goto Landscaping & Nursery Co. on Bid No. 57.8 in the total amount of $10,735.00 be rejected since it was incomplete. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Fountain. Commissioner Sharp moved the bid of Nevada Lawn and Irrigation Co. on Bid No. 57.7, Part B, for the installation of the sprinkler system in Hyde Park Circle in the total amount of $11,334.09 be accepted, and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign the con- tract. 3-27-57 HYDE PARK CIRCLE Improvement Bid No. 57.8 BID NO. 57.7-B Hyde Park Sprinkler System - Awarded
