April 23, 1948 W 23-1-48 Mrs. Estella C. Beam 8454 Croydon Avenue Los Angeles 45, California Dear Mrs. Beam: This will acknowledge your memo with which you returned executed agreement to cover installation of water mains in Block 5, Noblitt Addition, together with check for estimated cost. I also wish to thank you for the easement which you previously forwarded us. I concur in your note that it will eventually be necessary to install a larger feeder line on Stewart but would not consider it fair to include the cost of an extra quarter-mile of pipe merely to serve Block 5. we have a large transmission line on Stewart between 11th and 12th and will eventually have to extend this to keep pace with development in the eastern part of the City. However, it is my hope that Block 5 can be adequately served from a connection with the smaller main because the pressure is higher in that section than they are in the rest of the City. We will place an order with the pipe factory for pipe required for Block 5 and I will mail you your copy of the agreement as soon as it is executed by our Company. Very truly yours, LAS VEGAS LAND & WATER CO. General Manager By
