    Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. This being the time set for the opening of Bid No. 57.37 for the construc­tion of Restrooms at Lions Club Park, bids were received from the following firms: V & G CONSTRUCTION CO. $4,888.00 P & C CONSTRUCTION CO. 4,673.00 LESLIE P. GOEBEL CONSTRUCTION 4,986.00 Commissioner Sharp moved the foregoing bids be referred to the City Manager and Engineering Department for tabulation and recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Edward Levinson for an additional gaming license for 1 Poker table at the Fremont Hotel, 201 Fremont Street be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Bunker moved the application of Earl E. Wilson, Crown Novelty Co. for a gaming license for 2 slot machines at the Desert Snack Bar, 222 North Main Street be approved, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved the application of C. C. Larson for a license for the retail sale of cigarettes and tobacco products at the Thriftimart Inc., 2200 West Bonanza be approved and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the license. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Sharp moved that Payroll Warrants Nos. 13858 through 14385 in the net amount of $74,321.81 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that Service and Material Warrants Nos. 13610 through 13759 in the total amount of $73,645.32 and a warrant to the Las Vegas City Employees Federal Credit Union for deductions from employees salaries in the estimated amount of $13,072.82 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the Minutes of September 18, 1957 be approved by reference and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Fountain and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The Commission considered the application of Mary Nicosia for the package liquor and beer bar licenses of the Western Liquor Store, 6 E. Charleston, presently issued to M. C. Britton. City Manager Kennedy advised the Board that Mrs. Nicosia has had a Restau­rant Beverage license for a number of years, and the Police Department recommends favorably on this applicant. Mr. Kennedy further reminded the Commission that Mr. Britton's license has been suspended for thirty days and this period of suspension does not end until October 4th. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved the application of Mary Nicosia for a package liquor and beer bar license, gaming license for 3 slot machines and a license for the retail sale of cigarettes and tobacco products at the Western Liquor Store, 6 E. Charleston be approved, and Mrs. Nicosia be permitted to operate the business commencing October 3, 1957, and the Supervisor of License and Revenue authorized to issue the licenses.
