Beferring to your letter of March 6th regarding furnishing of water for railroad use at Pioche, Nevada: We have no contract with Lincoln County Power District No. 1 relating to furnishing of water for railroad use at Pioche, Nevada, or elsewhere. It would appear that water at this station has Been supplied under Agreement hearing LA&S1 BE Co. Deed Audit Bo. 979, entered into January 15, 1909, hy Nevada-Jtytah Mines and Smelters Corporation and Ghio-Kentuefcy Consolidated Mining Company, and the Callente & Pioche Bail road Company, fhe agreement was to have run for a period of 50 years. I doubt If the above named min­ing companies are now in existence. We have no information relative to their successors.
