Los Angeles, June 17, 1953 1-7334 JON 2 * S \953 Mr. L. R. Haag - Las Vegas: Referring to your letter dated June 1th to Mr. Campbell of Las Vegas Valley Water District relative to proposed construction of 1614 LP of 6n C.I. water mains and 26 LP of 6* fire hydrant connections to serve Moss Tract #2, Parcel #1 In Lots 1-10, Block #2, Las Vegas, Nevada; I have conferred with both Mr. Renwlck and Mr. Bennett as to form of letter to be presented to the Water District to obtain its approval of various projects covering the Installation of water mains. I am attaching a form of letter which Mr. Bennett assisted me in preparing for you to follow in the future. Mr. Reinhardt stated that he does not want you to deal direct with Mr. Montgomery of the District but to handle your dealings with Mr. Campbell. 4 Also Mr. Reinhadt does not want to make any commitment covering installation of pipe lines until we receive Executive approval. The following procedure should be followed; First secure Mr. Campbell's approval for the water district, then prepare the submission to Mr, Stoddard and in the letter to him you should indicate that we have the approval of the Water District as required under Seotlon 13 of Agreement CLD No. 11342. . There is no objection to having the agreements with the Subdivider and the Contractor prepared but they should not be presented for their execution until we have Executive approval of the project. By making submission to Mr. Stoddard for Mr. Reinhardt's approval it will not be necessary to secure Mr. Reinhardt's approval in advance of securing approval of the Water District for when Mr. Reinhardt signs the letter to Mr. Stoddard it will constitute his approval of the project so far as the LVL&W Co. is concerned.
